Plot: Brother and sister Martin and Anna Brown discover an old disused train tunnel and a discarded buckle. Suddenly a steam train appears from nowhere - it carries Anna away. Anna finds herself aboard the train many years ago - she is with her Nana and knows that she must avert her grandmother's death in a train disaster. Sapphire and Steel seem powerless to help as lighting strikes the railway bridge and the train plummets into the river beneath. The agents manage to save Anna but Nana dies once more. Sapphire explains to Anna that her Nana was a witch - Evil had tried to take Anna's life force to make Nana's evil live again.
Comments: Nice to see Sapphire visiting the past in Edwardian dress - this seems to use photo reference material from TV's Assignment Two. A technical note - issue 13 is printed on poorer quality paper and this cheaper stock seems to become regular from around issue 25.
