ADAM
Played by PIERRE BRICE
German Character name: Akam
German Voice Artist: Jurgen Thormann
ADAM is the central
male hero of the series - he sneers at the rule
of women and is clearly an activist for male equality.
As a male hero he is of course a man of action -
it’s his ‘crazy’, testosterone-fulled piloting against
the alien ship in the episode The Enemy that
somehow demonstrates the true worth of men!
PIERRE
BRICE gets to act all terse and clench-jawed
as Adam. Brice was born Pierre Louis de Bris in
Brest, France. He was a soldier involved in the
Indochina and Algerian French war and after his
time in the army trained as an actor. His roles
in English language work have been few and far between
but it was in Germany that the actor became a huge
star. In 1962 he appeared as the Red Indian warrior
Winnetou in a ‘sauerkraut’ Western called Treasure
of Silver Lake. The movie was a huge hit
and Brice went on to play Winnetou the Warrior in
a dozen movies throughout the 60s. He was a pin
up idol who regularly graced the cover of the 60s
German teen mag BRAVO.
